Welcome to Campus Village
Diverse neighbors, close to several multinational firms, and proximity to the Dalian Development Area and Downtown Dalian make Campus Village housing a great place to live. Transitioning to life as an expatriate living China can be a tumultuous event for the entire family. Life at Campus Village helps smooth the transition with convenient, Western-style housing and the best International School in Dalian only a few hundred meters walk away, inside our gated community, for your children. Located in Golden Pebble Beach, away from the air pollution, constant noise, dangerous streets, and the congestion of the urban areas, Campus Village is close-knit community of expatriates from many different nationalities. Your children can play safely inside the community while becoming friends with children from other countries, giving a truly International experience. Yellow Sea beaches and hiking trails are within easy walking distance from the community. The new Gymnasium has a fully functional workout area, basketball court and swimming pool only a short walk from your front door.
Recently the Campus Village website has undergone some significant changes in its appearance. We switched to a new template to give the site a more modern look, and also updated some of the content. A new photo slideshow has been added to the front page, as well a smaller slideshow for other pages. We have added a user section, but we have not turned on the ability to register yet. Once we have added some content and functions that require user logon, we will activate this feature. The next section to develop, during the next few days, will be The Hungry Scholar Pages. With the upcoming Grand Opening of the Scholar's Bakehouse, we want to have a convenient method for you to look up the menu and place orders. We will also be redoing The Hungry Scholar menu as well and placing it online. Stay tuned for more updates!
American Independence Day Celebration 20124:00 - 9:00 PM, Saturday, June 30, 2012 Thanks to everyone who made the 2012 American Independence Day Celebration (6th Annual for Campus Village and 3rd Annual in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce Northeast China Chapter) a success--fun was had by all. A special thanks to the BBQ Team (Joe, Ron, Lynn, John, Kris, and others) who braved a day of rain smoking brisket and chickens, and then coming back the next day to do it again--everyone thought the food was fantastic! A big thanks to Kim and the cafe staff for producing some great side dishes--the BBQ sauce was awesome! Kate, from AmCham, did a great job with the logistics of it all, and also hired a nice band that played some great tunes in the open-air venue with the Longshan Mountains in the background. There were also many other volunteers that helped with the kids games and the bouncy castle--thank you all. The Campus Village and DAIS guards, housekeeping, and maintenance did a great job helping setup, cleanup, and break-down the party...this type of event really depends on these guys...thank you. And last, but certainly not least, thanks to the Campus Village office staff (Kelly, Jasmine, Nancy, Joyce, and Teyla) for being there, as always, to help in any way possible.
